The Convoy in Birmenstorf has a tradition of over 15 years. Since August 1996, in 1999, 2004, 2007 and 2010, hundreds of old-timers have congregated at  the same venue.

From a small meeting of a few enthusiasts in August 1996, the largest military old-timer get-together of Switzerland has evolved. By now the event is known well across Swiss borders and takes place every three years.

At «Convoy 2010» up to 25,000 visitors, over 500 vehicles, a dozen impersonator groups and 15 aircrafts were recorded. Particularly sensational was the participation of an original Dakota C-47, which in its time ferried the paratroopers to the invasion.
